: Took the RamJeep on it's maiden voyage last night. Thanks everybody!
Jakesteramalamajama 05-02-2002, 07:31 AM Well, I finally got the timing and fuel pressure gremlins worked out and took my Jeep for her maiden voyage last night. Wow. It feels like there's a JATO strapped to the freakin' rollbar. Intimidating.
I pulled outta my driveway for the first time and punched it--the 35s lit up and the ass end slewed sideways and tried pass the front end and I almost lost 'er. I'm much more careful now. :D
I just wanna say thanks to all the guys on this board that helped me by answering my stupid tedious questions.
THANKS!
If I ever meet any of you in real life, I'll buy you a cold one.
:D  :D  :D  :D

Those are the same tires I have. The compond is so soft, I'd be worried about wheelstands when they get a little warm and want to hook up.:D

Maybe some day. I've already got so much into these axles, I wanna see if I can make 'em last awhile. I'll try to stay off the stupid pedal when it's in 4-LO...
bigdude 05-02-2002, 12:57 PM If I could smoke 35's on pavement I'd definitely do it for a photo to post on the PBB

LOPPY 05-02-2002, 01:12 PM Sweet Jake. Glad you're kick'n that bitch. I remember my first ride with the V8. Not a Ramjet, but nice none the less.

Hey thanks man,
The limiting strap worked tits. I just used a piece of 7/16 wire rope with a couple of class 8 bolts at either end--one through the frame and one in the engine with washers to hold the looped ends in place. It's way down under the brake booster, so you can't even see it unless you're looking for it. Thanks for the heads up and the idea. I'll post a pic of it when I get around to taking them.

Jake
