: Mobile Welding ?

I am about done with my Jeep and need the rear perches and shock mounts welded up.

As opposed to loading the Jeep onto the trailer and hauling it across town I thought about calling out a mobile welder. There are 3-4 in my area and I didn't think it would break the bank for them to swing by and zap my perches and mount for me.

It's just 2 perches and 2 shock mounts on the 14 bolt. Everything is clean and ready to get zapped.

Any questions about their set-up I should be sure to ask and/or things to avoid?
What do you think I should expect to shell out for this house call?

Thanks:beer:

I know buddy, I know. Unfortunately I don't think that spring perches are the type of project to figure out if I remember the welding I learned in highschool. Also I don't think they are the best project to figure out how to use a 110 and get strong welds.

ALSO, swapping in 1-tons (HP60/14bolt), beadlocks, winch, new driveshafts, 44044 springs F&R, 38's, and miscellaneous crap has left a brother strapped for cash.

I've got a friends shop that'll zap 'em for free I just didn't want to a) load up the Jeep or b) pull the rear axle and load it. Those 14 bolts will give you a hernia:D

HP60-> Bolt-up ('79 F350)
44044s->Bolt-up
F250 Towers/mounts up front-> Bolt-up
Shafts-> Local Shop then bolt-up
9500hsi-> Warn Plate and a bolt up

You don't need a welder to build a stout rig, but it would be cool ;)

I moved that fawker from my trailer into the garage, then off the jackstands following the rebuild and under the Jeep. I told myself I won't EVER move it by myslf again. I think I'll probably just mark the perch location, pull it, and take it to my buddies shop Saturday. Fawk I better get the weight belt out:flipoff2:

Dude don't hurt yourself. If you weren't so far away I'd come help you move it.

That's the problem down here, everybody's too busy "hittin' the beach" or "sunnin' at the pool" to help somebody build a Jeep, lazy fawkers:D

I will have a bad ass beach cruiser come next week when I finish:flipoff2:
