This is what's planned. (see pic) It will all be tied to the frame. I'm going to make some kind of links that I can bolt the inner cage to the back (stock) bar when the top is off. I will also tie the rear bar to the frame. What do you think. Also, the seats are going on the cage as well.

how did you attach it to the floor. Did you pour cement with threaded j hooks sticking out? My friend is build a new shop and he wants to be able to secure the bender with enough room to work around it, yet still be able to easily move the bender to move a vehicle up.

Thanks

Tell your friend to go to Home Cheapo and buy some Redheads..they are concrete anchors that can be removed when not in use..sorta like a moly bolt set up.

Yep, I drilled holes in the floor and set concrete anchors. Just pull the bolts and set it in the corner

If you bob the tail won't you just have a CJ-7? How's things there in IN? My pop says the weather has been pretty crappy lately.

Nope, A Scrambler wheelbase is 103". *I think*Cj-8 is like 9" longer wheelbase then a cj-7 plus the 8 has a 12" tail.

The weather has sucked butt. Nothing but rain and wind.

Dude, What kind of 60's? I found a "secret" place that I can get FF D60 Rears (Ford's) for cheap. I'm going there in a couple of weeks, let me know what you are wanting and I'll look and see what they have.

PM me if you need to.

Not sure I'd connect the new cage to the rear roll over bar (If that's what you meant?). The frame does flex a bit, and the more points back along the frame the cage is connected to the more "flex" that the frame will try and fight. If you really want to do this, do it strong to fight these forces.

Cool shop :flipoff2:

It's a 61" Great Dane. I think it was almost $8000 (not for sure)
This is actually my dad's shop and his mower. I own 1 acre and I mowed my grass with that thing in less then 25mins. :D Dad mows about 5 acres in a little over 2 hours. I told him when he bought it, the only thing I see wrong with it is it needs a seatbelt:D

You asked how people with small garages do it......

It's not the size of your garage it's how you use it !!! :flipoff2:

Actually its down right difficult. I keep lots of equipment on wheels. My bender is next to the door and i bend out into the driveway, when it rains i hang a tarp. Lots of wasted effort moving tires and junk arround.... But .35 acres in sub-erbia and a 2 car garage with press/air/welders/benders/saws/boxes/plus lawn crap/etc it gets small fast !!!

The hell with your tube and truck i love the garage !!!!!! (aka mini industrial park !)

DAAAAAAAADDDDDD IM MOVEING BACK HOME !!!!
