Im kinda confused. the steering arm bolts onto the knuckle rite? The problem i have is that i cant get the steering arm off of the knuckle to put my chevy dana 44hd under my ramcharger. My question is, is it possible to just put my chevy dana 44hd hubs and rotors on to my stock 5 lug dodge dana 44 and call it good? I would think everything is the same size including the knuckel/ball joints and whatever.

Because if i cannot, i would still have the same delima of trying to get the chevy arm off the knuckle to my dodge arm on for the steering to hook up.

If that'll work, i wouldnt see why not. then i would just put the 4.09 gears into my dodge 44 and call it good to match my 14 bolt

What am i missing? If no, why wouldnt it work?

Thanks in advance!

if you take everything off the chevy from the inner axle C out it will work its the same with 8 lug outers on a ford you can not just switch the 8 lug disk and caliper you need the backing plate and 8 lug outer knuckle

ok. I Got the hub off. I just need the backing plate off now then put all that onto my 5 lug 44 and call it good? What is the inner axle c and outer knuckle?

the inner c is the part that looks like a c on the outer axle housing end. the knuckle is just that, the part that the balljoints go through attached to the c.
You will need to change you outer axles as per the directions above. Your spindles are different in length and the Dodge outers will be too short to let you use 4wd. Your axles won't reach far enough through them to engage the hubs. Change the Chevy outers onto the Dodge inners, then you can reassemble everything.
