Anyone buy some sheetmetal online?

I was just trying to find some comparison prices before i talked to the local steel company. Also the local company has larger sheets where it would be nice to buy a 4x8 sheet like one of the online places i seen had. Was going to just go alum diamonplate but thats too much for my pockets:eek:

Every sheet metal supplier I have delt with will shear to size. 4x8 is a very common sheet size. Going accross country to find prices will not help your cause very much. Call a local precision sheet metal job shop and find out who they use for their suppliers; Vincent, Castle, Jorgenson, etc...

steel diamond plate in 1/8" in dull finish is 102$$$$

much cheaper than alum and you can weld to it easy

You live a lot closer to cheap steel than us in CA do that's for sure you should be able to get reasonable prices pretty local.
