Anyone have a pic of an EB p/s pitman arm handy?
Do they use the same taper as the larger GM TRE?
I'm looking for an arm with minimal drop.. sorta like a Jeep GW arm..
I know a Scout II pitman arm fits on the EB box.. so it'll fit on my steering box, just need to know about the drop and TRE..

I don't have a picture of one but I have an old on on the shelf in the shp and they are pretty flat. And they do have a taper for the drag link end. Not sure what ithe taper is though.

Thanks, Roger.
Looking for something like the middle or left one here:

Left is a 2wd Dodge, middle is a Waggy arm.. right is that long and dropping SII pitman.
Something in the 7" center-to-center range would be fine.. I don't want to go too much shorter if I don't have to - I kinda like the quick-ratio steering I have with my short knuckle arm.
I'm currently using the pitman arm / draglink as a bump stop.. so I want to tuck the draglink up closer to the frame and get it "under" the spring hanger and "real" bump stop location.
Just need the TRE taper to nail this down..

agree on the middle one
The EB has a winee taper, but get a 60 dollar 1.5 reamer and it will soon have a GM taper
Grand waggy, had the big taper, they have about 1 inch drop though

I've seen pics of a GW installed. Joe reported having to trim his TRE to clear..

Found a pic of what is either an EB pitman, or a 78/79 F150 pitman arm (it's a converted p/s box on an EB). Looks similar to the F150 arms I've looked at, too.

Looks pretty darn similar.
Dinky TRE isn't a good thing, so the EB arm will need reamed.
Just like the Dodge 2wd arm I can get my hands on would need..
Would a '78/79 F150/Bronco have a larger tie-rod taper? Or am I stuck buying the reamer, or buying a Waggy arm?
I'll probably end up buying a reamer yet for a few other projects.. but if I don't have to shell out the coin today, that much better. :)
Plus, I'm hoping to get the draglink & pitman arm swapped out next week so I can load it on the trailer. I'm going to be out of town the 10-20th, but I'm heading off to play for Memorial Day weekend right after I get back.
Trying to get everything squared away so I'm not hustling the night before - 'cuz I'll already be doing that. :D
