Anyone know the snow levels/depths right now up near Iron Mountain (not Iron Mtn Rd), Kit Carson, Kirkwood, Lake Alpine?
Need to get on a good run (with some lesser equipped rigs so the easy trails are in order) on Pardoes Road and Deer Valley over a weekend, but am noit sure what the snow is like up there or when the best time to try it is.
Suggestions?

It is reported by the forrestry that along H88 at the 6500ft. ele. there is 9-15" of snow but at the 7000-up ele. it is 8ft. I just went over the pass on 80 last week and there was just enough snow to cover the grond on the ski slopes but not much anywhere they wert putting snow. So I find it hard to believe that there is 8ft unless they are talking drifts.

The area on HWY 88 gets significantly more snow than on 80. I'll bet those trails are buried right now.

The trails you are talking about get ALOT of snow (pardoes area), They are gated until about June (depending on the snow melt).
That area is my former clubs adopt-a-trail, we never got to open the trail usually till then.

The wife and I camped at Utica Resevoir this weekend. There's still alot of snow on the road just getting to the trailhead. Due to melt and runoff, the going is tough after midday.
We walked the trailhead a bit and decided not to head in, not wanting to do any damage. There are quite a few big snow drifts that need melting, and there is ALOT of water running down the trail.
We were conservative with the camera this weekend, but we have a couple shots here:
