Scouttoo 05-02-2002, 05:48 PM I've got a chance to pick up a decent '94 F 150 4wd, 5 spd, 5cyl. The tranny is shot, what kind of $$ am I looking at to rebuild/replace the tranny? The truck looks good and the price is right. It's likely completely baked inside. Phoenix Hard Parts sells them for $700 plus $250 core. That's about what I'd expect to see in a junkyard, too. Count on $1200 for a rebuild at any old tranny shop. I gotta wonder about that 5 cyl motor, tho.. :D | |
