needs bigger tires and better rear suspension but they do look sweet, I'd drive one!

I think it definitely needs bigger tires to make it look right to me. Other than that, I could see myself having a blast with one. We have a dried up riverbed nearby that would be excellent to run through:smokin: .

it only has 10-14 H.P. what a joke for that kind of cash you could buy a tricked out yzf or trx 450 thats a year old and be pushing close to 50 h.p. if not more.

I think they are cool. Like anything, I think it is good that they limit tire sizes, engines, and what not to keep everything affordable and still be competitive. I think it is more for fun and not who can dump the most amount of money into their cart to win. I can't imagine how much money you would have to invest into a Quad to be competitive in amy type of arena type racing.

Ill buy one as soon as it gets a decent sized motor that can handle the dunes with some paddles :)

Tire size should be around a 26-27". They make those for ATVs and they make a pretty good difference in handling huge hits.

While I agree that the tire look small for the truck, the footage that i've seen tells me that these things can handle the bumps. They do need more power so they could be used places besides hard pack.

does anyone know if there are any other brands out there for these, or is there one maker?

nestor at newline is the one and only maker of these. They are a work of art. the suspension alone took years of design and planning, the rear is so complicated it makes you heard hurt thinking out he came up with it. I'm sure there will be china made crap ones in the future but they'll just be like the yurf dogs, not the actuall trophy karts. They go in the sand pretty good actually also, just need to get up to speed, which is a little slow for some.

I have looked into these......Badass!! 16in front and 18in rear of travel! King shocks! I definitely agree the tires are too small in diameter. I talked to Outlaw motorsports...the guy told me they are working on a 27hp motor upgrade........but it's 4k just for the motor! :shaking: I would like to buy the body and some of the suspension parts and build my own chassis!! I think I could outdo 27hp for 4k....by a long shot! :D

I agree he should sell a roller. Everything but the motor. they'd sell really fast, but then again there's already a huge waiting list for the karts right now as is.

I think they are really cool. I would just have to make myself not modify it. Looks like fun.

Then you get into the area of selling rigs to people that would rather just build their own. I'd imagine the market is pretty good for those that just want something ready to run and play with.

Is there a Corr or Score class for these things? I'd like to build something very similar and think it would be fun to race against other, like a scaled down Corr or Score race, limit engien size and wheel travel and everything else is open.

The Trophy Kart racing at CORR this past weekend was awesome. We had 23 racing. Many of these kids are great drivers. Watch for some up and coming talent.

To answer some questions.
Newline is the only manufacture of Trophy Karts. Sure, there will be knock off's but doubt it will match the engineering or quality.
Trophy Karts will only be sold complete with the Subaru engine due to CA CARB regulations. What the owner does after the sale is their business.
Newline is working on some motor upgrades, but will not release them until they are 100% satisfied with them
Do not let the size or engine power decieve you - I have chased down an out run 5/1600, Jeepspeeds and a few prerunner trucks in the Barstow main rough - on a 115 degree day (and I weigh 220)
MMR is working on several race series for 2007. Currenlty CORR will be for kids only. No word on SCORE or any other promoter - but we are working on all kinds of good stuff.

Wow, we don't have an ego or anything do we?

Kids only? That sucks.

Always a hater out there... :flipoff2: I'd love to rip one around and see what they can do but without buying one I'm probably screwed.

Are these karts a direct chain drive after the CVT or do they have another reduction? After looking and the one picture they have on their site it looks like it's just a chain drive off the CVT.

I can think of 3 stock quads right now that can race competetivly right out of the crate, YFZ450, TRX450R, and LTR450. And they're not that expensive, I picked my Honda 450R up for $6200.
