90Beater

About a year ago I was in a junkyard and wanted a spare tire off a Bronco but it had a lock holding it on the tire carrier. A stranger handed me his DeWalt cordless grinder with a cutoff wheel and it cut off the lock in a few seconds. Ever since then I wanted one but didn't want to pay the high price for one. Earlier today I wondered into the local Lowes for a couple grade 8 bolts and a new weed eater and they were having a scratch and dent sale. I walked over to the tool section and they had the big DeWalt 18Volt set that was missing most of the parts. Luckily it still had the two best tools of the set included.
I ended up with the 4 1/2" grinder I wanted along with an angle drill, two 18 volt batteries and charger for $160. I have charged both batteries and they along with both tools work great.

The weed eater also worked out great. I bought the Black & Decker 18 volt cordless that I had seen great reviews on and it turns out it uses the same battery that my Firestorm drill uses. Now I have 4 batteries for the two tools. I tried out the weed eater and it works great. It's light weight, quiet and it cuts well.
It's nice to have a good day once in a while.
