AOD and TV shifter help with a Carb setup [Archive]

Have trouble with the Trans shop telling me I can’t hook up my Carb with my AOD column shift. I was hoping someone has some info and or some pic’s so I could see what it should look like.

I have a 91 Ford Ranger 4x4 with 302, 600 Elderbrock Carb and AOD trans. Any help would be great.

I did some searching for you and it looks like Lokar is your answer. Use their AOD kickdown cable and Throttle Cable Bracket kit. Lokar's site isn't working right so you'll have to call them up to get the part numbers, Lokar (http://www.lokar.com)

AOD Kickdown:
What carburetors are your AOD Kickdowns compatible with?
Our AOD Kickdown is compatible with all Edelbrock and Holley 4 barrels that have a hole 1 1/8" below the center of the butterfly shaft.
