i have a turbo350 tranny that wont go in park nuetral or reverse. i spin the shifter on the side of the tranny and it doesnt click or clunck like its changing gear an when i try to shift into park or reverse it just goes in drive at every angle on the shifter. please help . i need to get it running again.

check the linkage and make sure it is tight. sounds like it is shifting but too much slop to get to park.

Yer going to have to drop the pan and check the internal linkage. The problem should be self evident. It is simple-don't worry.

outer linkage has no slop. so i guess i'm dropping the pan

problem is under the pan for sure
