I have a front waggy 44 in my YJ I used my drop pitman arm and reemed it out to fit the bigger waggy drag link end. My problem is that the pitman arm turns and the drag link slips and barley turns at all. If the slipage were fixed the turing would be much better. can I run a stock waggy pitman arm? Will it fit my stock YJ steering box? What pitman arm should I use to fit a waggy drag link end but yet still fit a Wrangler steering box, Im affraid if I ream out another pitman arm the problem will continue, what do I do?:question: :usa:

What do you mean it slips?
I had my stock pitman arm reamed out and its fine, the TRE still pulls up tight just like any other.

Sounds like you do need a longer arm...Yes A waggy one will fit...

I run a waggy arm on my 76 cj box, A saginaw box is a saginaw box..

The Waggy arms are flat and long so besure you dont screw your drag link angles and cause bumpsteer.

Sounds like someone messed up when reaming the pitman arm origanally.

by slipping do you mean that the draglink causes the tierod to rotate? because that is what happened to mine. when the draglink moved it would cause the tierod to rotate. when i used the waggy pitman arm it was so flat that i had to grind away part of my swaybar (like 1/4") so that it wouldnt rub when i turned. to fix it i got crossover steering and use the wrangler pitman reemed out. i think the rotation problem just has to do with the pitman arm being behind the tierod or something.

What he means is that the TRE is not a snug fit into the pitman arm he had reamed. The steering wheel can be almost fully turned until the drag link starts to move. (the TRE spins inside the pit-arm). I am clarifying because im the one that noticed it.;)
