Hello all,

This new forum is great, I am usually over on the Land Cruiser Forum, but thought I might ask a question over here.

I have a 2003 Silverado Z71 EC SB, 4x4. I would love to get a long travel IFS kit for it, but don't seem to be having any luck finding one. Camburg makes a really nice looking kit for a 2wd but nothing for a 4x4.

I want to go this route as I would like to have a more capable truck, and I do not see much value in the common lift kits as all they do is move the the truck higher and dont seem to improve on the stock suspension.

I would like to get a mild pre runner style going on. Some thing that is fast and capible all over.

Thanks

CST made a prototype kit on a 4x4 but thats as far as it got im pretty sure - and that is about all there is out there. Your only real option is custom fab. Longer control arms which means longer CVs, tie rods etc... Then your knuckles would no longer give you correct ackerman and so on - it would be a big undertaking to say the least.

Thanks for the reply.

I am thinking that when the new silverado gets released some one might build a kit for the 4x4 as it is coil sprung and then could be retro fited to the current truck.

I was looking at my truck last night and it has all the mounting points to run coil sprungs. I bet that it would not be to hard to comvert the current torson bar design to coil sprungs and then long travel would no be to far off.

Rock Krawler Racing makes a coilover kit for your truck. The coilover shock bolts inplace of your stock shock. Maybe fab up some longer a-arms, and roughcountry makes some slipyoke half shafts now. Maybe something to look into.
