Is it worth the money to get a "regular" pair of exhaust manifolds done with Jet hot?
I've got a pair of ramshorn manifolds from a 74 corvette that are in very good condition that I would like to keep in good condition.

Jet Hot is the greatest stuff in the world as far as exhaust coatings go. it is extremely durable and it looks great. it is impossable to discolor over time in the worst conditions. we ran a Jet Hot coated header on our (Auburn University) race car and it held up great even with 2000* (it was an acident) EGTs. if you want to se a pic of the car im talking about check out Jet Hots customer cars web page.

have used it on quite a few motorcycle headpipes, and it is great. nearly indestructable. it will keep your header or manifold from rusting for sure. good shite.

John,
I have a set of shorty header that have the Jet Hot coating on them, inside and out. I have not had a chance to see how they work when the engine is running, but the coating looks really good and tough. The company that I bought the headers from said it significantly reduces underhood engine temp. I have heard nothing but good things about Jet Hot, and I can't wait to see how they do when I get my rig running.
Also, I asked my friend that has a couple of spare SM465's to see if he had an aluminum topped one. He still hasn't gotten back to me, but I will find out for you soon. Sorry it has taken so long. Thomas

Ive been told that you need to handle new Jet Hot pipes with gloves before they have heated up the firs time. Any of you know it that's true:confused:

anyone know how they handle with mud on them? I know all my headers in the past have burned the mud onto them and yeah. Also think they could coat the entire exhaust?

I've had some jet coated headers on my toy for about 3 years now and they still look brand new. Mud washes right off. I handled mine before the first starting and there isn't any sign of damage - plus the instructions didn't mention anything about that.

I had a set of headers on my old chevy coated with Jethot, Best damn thing I ever did..
From Standard operating temps to handline temps in under 10 mins..
Plus they helped out with breathing and what not.. And no the instructions dont say anything about that.. The coating is already baked on. And yes there coated inside and out
