I hear a little challenge is brewing between the Mike S,& Lance camp and the Flying Fat City Alloy Brothers, for a Jeepspeed challenge.
Should we start placing bets?:D
I'm sure Fat City can find a speed bump to huck the 1790 rig:flipoff2:
So shocks, motor mounts, tires, or Thirst for a cold Corona.......... Will our Baja adventures reach La Paz? Maybe the crawlers will learn how to run after crawling all this time, find High range on the transfer case and third gear. Go get some boys, live the dream, enjoy the ride and have a safe trip. What an adventure, I'm Green with envy!:p
Via Con Dios,
Jeff Knoll
p.s. Right now I'm guessing Zoo road will be death blow because we all know how Eric likes a jump with a crowd and cameras':flipoff2: Beers on Fat City @ Rock-a-dile in San Felipe.
I'll take race mile 175 Fat City:D
Good luck guys!

Its up in the air. Last week it was RM 446, by race day it could be anywhere. I'll post up when/if I know. Hoffman says nothing is a sure thing in Baja.
I'm going to try and figure out how to post from Baja as we will be down there for 10 days.
No Fat City yet?? They must be fixing the damage from the Mega huck:p

Looks like about 8 miles on Zoo Rd. before turning past the dump. We're trying to clip Eric's wings for this race...it's way too long.

I must admit boyz---EXPERIENCE in Baja is worth ALOT!
A recent BITD Trophy Truck winner told me...."Damn, Baja is way tougher than any BITD race I've ever raced, I never realized it."
Ron's Baja savvy goes along way---we'll at least I'm sure he know's where Lord Black's is located. Lord Black's is a fine delicatessen...ROTFLMAO:shaking:
It'd be best to team up to the last 100 yards before the finish line and then drag race to the finish...but truly finishing is more than you'll ever imagine.
Last year, Brittany and I started the race and then finished together after Joey drove some long middle sections---and starting and finishing with your kid in the "reportedly" toughest Baja 1000 in two decades is just plain way too cool...you had to be there.
Team up and get to the finish line...and I'll buy both teams the beer in La Paz.:D

Tim,
Thanks for the well wishes - I hope we all can see you in LaPaz for a beer or two. Your story last year actually played a part in my decision to do this last minute, ill advised challenge. I've always talked about doing the 1000 with my son - this is a great opportunity to do that. Good luck!
Ron
