Yep it's finally here Woohoo!
http://www.roverunited.com/pics/DSC02305.JPG
From left to right:
Replacement pushpins for the rear bumper trim
Steering shaft weld collar (Aluminum)
2 radiator mounts extensions
Transfer Case shifter Extension
Cotter Pins for seat belt frame mount clevis
Seat belt tension frame mount replacements
Body mount bolts & locking nuts
Body mount cylinders
The kit includes detailed installation instructions, so it shouldn't be hard at all to do the install.
The only thing missing are some decal., I'll have to give John a call and see if I can't get a few :bounce2:
Hopefully I can get this thing installed soon, I'll just have to find the time, and someone to do the welding for me since I don't know how...yet...;)

Sweet dude!
I was talking to John back when he first had these out and I thought they were a great idea.
Looks as good as it sounds, plus the parts look like they're the shiiat!
Let us know how it goes. I have to admit I'm sitting on the fence, but it might not be for long!

I noticed that your kit did not include the 4 spacers that go on the Adjustable body suport mountings either side of the rear springs.
I have found without the extra suport here after time your rear doors become hard to open.
Simon
ps: Great looking kit
it's better than most of the kit avaliable here in OZ!!!:bounce: :bounce:

I agree with Simon - those body 'rests' are important - it is possible to pack them out cheaply and definitely worth doing. I talked to a guy who was carrying all his gear in the back and after a day on rutted roads his rear floor had re-leveled itself back down to the old position....:(
Nice looking bits.

Do you guys from OZ have any comparison pictures. Especially of the extra support mounts that you say are really important. If you send them to me I will post them for you.

Thanks to Bodgerover for the pic. Here is a picture of the body lifts found outside of the U.S. Teh square section pieces are the additional pieces in there body kits.

Does that kit come with the 20" tool box? :flipoff2:

Thanks for the pic Bodgerover.
I'd be curious as to what RTE's thoughts are on this. I may have some of those supports fabbed before I put my bodylift on. I'll try to give'm a call on Wed or Thurs when I finally have some down time, and see what I can find out.
Jon
So what has to be welded on the steering shaft? Does the body lift over extend the shaft so that is the piece you weld on?

On my 2" bodylift the steering shaft was easily long enough. Loosen all the UJ bolts on the steering shaft and then post lift retightened them - adjusting the shaft slightly so that its even at both ends - still plently to clamp onto.

Oh yeah one more thing - the only thing you have to fab up for yourself is the extension on the H/L lever [remember mine is a 2 Door]. Aparently its different for all rovers so they can't make a universal piece for the kit.
The Kit is actually the same for the 1" 1.5" and 2" lifts - you just use less of the spacers - the box mounts are slotted for cutting. The only difference is the bolt length.
Those L shaped brackets on the left are extension brackets for the front brake lines. On the Rangie Spares lift you replace the bracket on the top of the steering ball joint and bend your brake pipes up to meet it [its 2" higher]. You still use your existing flexibe hoses - cheap! Most people spend the extra cash on longer brake hoses...
