Looked thru archives with no luck- Can't find a place
to connect mechanical temp. gauge to an '02 GenIII 5.3.
I guess i could make a place in line with top hose but
had rather not. Any help? thanks

Why not just use the stock electric sender in the drivers side head at the front, or remove it and put the mech. one there at that location. Its a metric threaded hole.

there is also a boss in the water pump area at the front you can drill and tap easily. That is what I did, i'll try to get a pic later

A pic would be great, I have it in 1 of the heater outlets of the pump but i'm not so sure i'll get a true reading there. Can't seem to come up with a "t" fitting to use the orginal location. My Howell harness has a plug for it so i hate to completely do away with the stock 1. I'm not sure how the computer react w/o that reading.
