I saw that about a month ago. It seems interesting on paper, but I am waiting for some real world feedback. I am looking Powerplant Dual Force HD. It would be nicer than having to buy a second engine driven compressor for an odd occasional job plus a winch for my work truck.

My modified reply from Mud:

I saw this quote on another forum regarding the new powerplant...

"I think it's a solution in search of a problem. A winch should be as simple and reliable as possible, as should an air source. Combining them adds complexity to both that didn't exist before."

I couldn't agree more...

I think it is a great idea for redundancy, but I'm still undecided on the unit as a whole. Leave it to Warn to make a great product, but if it falls off the market it won't be the first "great" Warn idea that didn't take off (XCL Suspensions, Landcruiser FF kits, birf eliminators, etc ) Great products nonetheless..

There was talk about the cooling effects similar to problems those with 8274's have. An 8274 most commonly mounts between the frame rails, sometime half of the winch is below the top of the frame, not possible with the wider powerplant (and many of Warns other winches). I noticed cooling changes with the addition of my integrated winch (TI9.5), I can only imaging similar (worse) issues with the powerplant. The picture of the powerplant on the TJ on Warns site is telling enough, it site pretty high.
