View Full Version : 1996 tacoma stock leaf springs

hey my tacoma stock leaf spring (the middle one in the pack of 3) on the driver side snapped... just wondering if anyone knew of a place to buy 2 new complete stock ones that are cheaper then $700 for each like toyota sells them for!! they run 51" from bolt to bolt.. thanks!

look for some one doing a SAS and buy there stock springs from them

your other side is going to break too. the stock springs were weak on that year Taco, better replace both sides while you're at it. remember, Taco's have uneven spring rates for driver and passenger sides. you would be best served to find a local spring shop and have some made.

find a wrecking yard near you. I like the ones that you pull the part yourself, there usually cheaper.

don't wast your money on stock springs, go after market.http://www.wheelersoffroad.com/tacoma.htm good springs and a fair price.:D

The springs are weak in the early years. Find a blacksmith shop in your area and have some made. I had mine done that way and was pretty cheap.
