Can someone please tell me where to locate the fuseable link on a 71 FJ40??? Or was it only on later models? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

On my 74, I am pretty sure it comes off the positive battery cable clamp.

On my 70 fj55 (probably similar wiring), the fusible link is connected to the (+) post on the starter- so yeah, essentially it's run straight from the battery- then it should run to your fuse block, and provide your headlights, hazards, and what not, with uninterrupted power.

I'm not sure, but that's how I understand it. Anyone out there know more than that?

The fusible link didn't come until later models, don't recall off-hand what year.
