Nice, I like to see the sawzall used.

Did you come by Bent and Twisted today?? Mike cut the back of his sami last night. Be careful with a 14" blade on that grinder, that's going to be a lot of torque, can't you get a sawzall?

Bold move bassman! I'm with Wilson on the big blade, you dont want to spend next weekend fabbing a new hand.

I've got to do more tub trimming on my rig's tub before I paint it, and I'm gonna try a body saw. Even the sawzall was a bit much on the thin ass zuk sheetmetal if your trying to do a nice job. Sawzall worked great though for the major hacking!

I'm painting it Krylon tread & grip black. it will look like sandpaper/bedliner texture, it's high impact resistant, durable, non-skid coating...we will see how rock proof it is:flipoff2: :flipoff2: :flipoff2:

Mike Schafer had his rig painted with that stuff but black........Looked kind of wierd though! A rough texture flat black paint.

If it's non skid coating, how are you going to get past rocks that the body hits?:flipoff2:

That's funny - I had wanted a Samurai pickup since I first saw one 4 years ago. At ZukiMelt in Attica a few years back, a guy named "Bean" had bought a Samurai that had been rear-ended, so he made himself a flat bed for it. When I saw it I Knew I would cut mine eventually. I had never seen a flattie-Zuk before then....

BTW, his truck was white, also :D

It's a real shame that in the land with the highest concentration of pick-ups you guys never got the sammi pick-up.
The slightly longer wheelbase makes it ride really well.
:p

Joe in England where we have loads of Sammi pick-ups & LWBs

in control do you have any other pics of your rig as it was with a tray (before you went tube)

my cut job has been delayed because it's been so darn cold and wet lately. no garage space as the speed boat is in there being rebuilt.

There have been things on glens site for years now.....and they still arent for sale!

"Fiberglass body tubs. They're almost here. Actually, the prototypes have been completed. We'll be putting some pics up on the website in March. Pricing has not been established yet..... Don't ask, we have nothing to tell you about prices at this time. Both regular Samurai and Long Wheelbase Samurai bodies will be produced. We'll also be offering LWB frames to go with the bodies or you can extend your existing frame. This is all the details we have now. Stay tuned though as we'll be putting more pictures and technical data about the bodies as time grows closers."

anyone seen pics yet??
