I was able to score a cheap '93 cherokee body, and later on picked up a 4.0 w/ an NV3550 out of an '03 Rubicon. The XJ came w/ a 4 cyl originally, and it looks like the frame brackets for the motor mounts are set further back than a factory 4.0 xj. Besides needing to find frame brackets for the 4.0, are there any other major differences? Are the brackets on the block of a TJ any different than those of an XJ? If so, it gives me more of an excuse to get the M.O.R.E. brackets. Any aftermarket frame side brackets worth taking a look at? This is for a potential desert racer, so it will stay 2wd for the time being, keeping the NP231 as a tail housing to leave my 4wd option open in the future. I've yet to find a 2wd tail housing for the NV 3550 also, so the x-case will stay.
