I'm looking into this FJ40 for sale that's been for sale for a while now. He's not in a hurry to sell and it's a very nice cruiser. It was parked on the street for the longest time and ran excellent. But when he was going to move it back into his driveway the car wouldn't start. It makes NO clicking noise or anything. He replaced the battery, the alternator. My question is, could the problem be the starter silenoid or other electrical problem? When I turned the key, nothing happens. Not even a clicking noise like it's going to turn over. Any have some more suggestions to fixing this problem? He parked it and it ran excellent, he went to start it up and nothing happens. He even showed me and it makes no noise at all. Thanks Cruiser heads.

Do the other electroincs work (head lights, interior lights, radio, guages etc)?

There is a little white and black wire that connects the ignition switch to the starter. Make sure that wire is connected to the starter. I had mine come loose one day and I had a similar problem. It is on a spade lug connector so it can easily be pulled of.
