Wondering the pro's and con's of both.

On short track, are the 2wd faster, or visa versa?

Do you notice a huge difference with having the 4wd? I'm sure coming out of the corners it's a huge plus, but does the weight have a bad effect that much, distribution of weight to the front, and less suspension travel with 4wd?

What would you build, and why?

Four wheel drives tend to have more weight, and have more parts that you have to worry about.

Short track with lots of turns, four wheel drive has the advantage over two wheel drive. Watch CORR sometime, you will see how much faster the Pro 4 trucks are over the Pro 2 trucks. I've seen the Moss Class 3 obliterate higher horsepower 2wd trucks at Prairie City.

If I were to build, it's the K5 sitting in the driveway.:D

Pro 4 has faster lap times than Pro 2 because they have so much horsepower that two more driving wheels put more power to the ground, plus they hook up better in the turns. If the power was greatly reduced, and the Pro 2s had plenty of traction, they would be faster.

the pro 4's lap times at the last corr race we only a few seconds faster than the pro 2 trucks. If I were to build something that's a 4x4 it would be something with TTB or a 4x4 IFS toyota.

I'm not that knowlegable in the racing world yet but I do know how much faster my 4x4 Toy goes when I'm in 4x4 versus 2. It is a little more weight up front but I like it. I haven't driven it since it was stock, but I'm pretty sure It'l allways be 4wd. Thanks Total Chaos. What's that you want a picture?, cool, here it is in progress. I broke the timing chain and pulled it in the garage to fix it a couple of years ago and just couldn't stop upgrading.
