Generator Joe has the new nato style cans for $39.95.
You also need to buy the spout for it... :D

If your coming up to Reno for CalRocs on
the 11th, stop by Twin City Surplus on
4th St. I know they have fillers and gaskets
for the old stlye jerry cans.
Don't know if they have the NATO style cans.
Jump off I-80 at 4th St. exit, make right turn
on 4th St.,about 1 to 1-1/2 mile on right side
look for big red building.

Check out some of the shops selling Unimogs. There was a whole mess of them for sale at $5 a pop or so.
I got 2 of them .

You could go to army/navy surplus on College Oak and Auburn blvd here in sac. Gas cans are $15 a piece and the nozzles are $7 each. Pretty cool place.

I bought never-used but shelf-scuffed NATO cans for $8 each on sale a few years ago, but they carry them all the time for about $12 each.

go to this place an do a search for "Gas can". they have used Swedish cans for $10. get a "donkey dik" too (nozzle). i have a couple of these cans and they are great. far better than the old jerry cans. the best part is the way the opening seals and how the nozzle clamps on.

the ones at checker are just normal old style blitz jerry cans, not the new style 20 litre NATO cans. I used to work at a checker, if they had been NATO cans i woulda slid a couple out the back door ;)

So where can you get a good, vented nozzle for the NATO cans? Mine is the cheapie $7 nozzle from sportsmansguide and it sucks.

I had to crush the nozzle tip a bit so it'd fit in my gas tank hole, and it effectively plugs the vent in the can. It takes like 5 - 10 minutes just to empty one (no joke).

Does anyone make a vented nozzle that'll fit the unleaded filler hole for your gas tank?

thanks

I just got a few of the Wedco Gas cans (they came in today...2 days after order) from partsamerica.com (kragen's online store). They look exactly the same as the NATO ones I have seen but are painted red and have a DOT # on them. They also come w/ the spout. I live in Cali and was worried about the :rainbow: CARB stuff but they had the regular metal spout w/ a plastic reducer to get into the unleaded opening. Might want to order them before big brother finds out because I don't think it is leagal to sell them in CA any more.

Cheaper than Dirt has new NATO cans for $15 each. These are very good cans.

Get the nozzle from Generator Joe's or Back Country Trailers, the CTD nozzle sucks.
