anyone know of an after market upper that will bolt to the truck lower?
the engine is plenty strong @stock configuration, but would like to go MAF.
would also clean up the engine compartment of the jeep.it is the inline squares unlike most after market i have seen.any help would be great.

If it's inline squares oits a 5.0l, 5.8l has oval holes. Also you can run maf with that intake. If its is a 5.0l with the square holes then you can get a holly systemax upper and it uses the same pattern.
Hope this helps.

yeah i know i can but i want to get away from the tall intake and have a single air intake ,makes things easier for maf meter .it is a 5.8 from a 95 f150.it looks to be square from the outside, haven't actually taken it off.i want to get a few more ponies from it this winter, maf, cam, possibly a set of heads and intake.some issues with the sd computer and if i have to buy one i may as well go maf

Or you can swap the lower to a GT-40 lower from a Lightnign Truck or Saleen Mustang and then you can use the upper from an Explorer, Cobra Mustang or the Lightning Truck GT-40 tubular upper. Then you can convert it to MAF.

I have the GT40 lower and upper on my 5.8L and it works great, but those (the 5.8L lowers anyhow) aren't all that plentiful and cheap. The BC Broncos adapter that Broncolou mentioned sounds like a great product, and I'll probably use one on my next EFI 351.

All Ford trucks and Bronco 96 and newer from calif. are MAF. Im not sure about the 5.0 but I know that all Calif. 5.8s starting in 95 are MAF. They have the same twin throttle body intake as the non MAF ones.:D
