I recently purchased a set of used MT 35 x 13.50 x 15 Claws. They have performed great in the mud but I have not had a lot of success on the rocks. These are a directional tire and I have them running according to the tread pattern. Lately, I have seen a lot of built Jeeps running these tires in competition and they seem to be running against the regular directional pattern. Do these perform better on rocks if they are mounted in reverse of the regular pattern? Does it impact their ability in the mud? Anyone have experience with this or know where I can get further info?
Thanks for any input

what psi are you running them on?
For the mud, I have heard running them backwards is better for floatation.

running them "as designed" has done us well. i want to try them backwards but they work so well for us now it has not been a priority

Guys, thanks for the input. Good point about PSI. I have been running them between 11 and 12 lbs which seems to work fine in the mud. But, at 11 to 12 pounds they have very little or no flex. Will try lesser air. Also, becasue they have very little flex should I attempt to break them in by running very low air pressure on pavement in an attempt to soften the sidewall? Will this help?

I just got a wicked deal on new 37" Radials,, I know the side walls on the Bias are 6ply where the Radials are 3ply but I'm planning or running them around 8psi.. can't wait to try them
