I have a 70 4trax for my son and it won't start. It was flooding out real bad just sitten their so I thought the carb was bad.Went out and bought a new carb($135 bones) and still won't hit a lick:mad3: Had my father in law pull start me on it and it ran but not good. When I gave it the gas it would fall on it's face bad and not want to pull out.I could kill it and restart it but it took alot of pulling of the rope and still not run right and fall on it's face.Anyone here had anything like this happen to them? I am thinking it might need to be rebuilt.:smokin:

Check the plug and see how wet it is from the fuel. Then put a new one in it and check the jets in the carb and see what your running in it. Then get back to me.

The plug is brand new and the carb is new so what ever jets are stock is what I have. Now that it has set for a few days since my fater in law pulled me it won't start at all.I pulled the plug out after tring to pull start it and it wasn't flooded out.It did have a little gas on it but not enough to flood it.I took the plug and grounded it to the head after pulling it out and I am getting a better spark than my 2001 Raptor is getting so I don't think that is my trouble:confused: I am very upset with this thing right now.The only thing I can think of is maybe the rings went away and it doesn't have enough comp. to start.Do you think I might be on the right track. It's got to be something basic cause there's nothing complicated about these little bikes.I just thought of something while typing,is their a way these motors can jump time? I don't know how the ing. works on these little 70's but would this be a possabillity? Thanks for the help and my son thanks you greatly:D
