Killer Bee Offroad 11-03-2006, 10:12 AM Guys, need some help. Been searching trying to get an idea as to what axles come in a 1979 K2500 4X4. All the seller knows is that its 8 lug. Front end is either a 10 bolt or a D44, and the rear is a 14bFF. I thought they may have put some 14 SF in those as well, but I may be mistaken. Thanks for the help! 79 is tricky because it was the transitionning year, it could be a D44 front or 10 bolt, as for the rear it most likely is the 14bff, the sf in those years was not common on K20 pick ups, mostly on subs GMCTruxrule 11-03-2006, 11:55 AM Pretty sure 78 was the transistion year, and it is most likely a 10 bolt front and a 14FF rear. 1967K10 11-04-2006, 06:45 AM We have two 79' K20's. 1 has a 10bolt and 1 has a D44.
