: Finished pics; Sights, Sounds and a bonus
Belly Dragger 05-05-2002, 08:19 AM Well it's now officially 7 days before I'll be in Moab. It appears as though we might actually have everything together in time. It's a roller coaster ride to have this much work done, not done, done etc etc etc.
Oh well here's some final results pictures:

Here is a 1Mb AVI file of what it sounds like with a glasspack. (http://www.mjw.com/amigo/sas/images/exhaust.avi) I'll probably do something a little different but not till after Moab.
Bonus:
Something to make sure I get to Moab in one piece and without a ton of federalis in pursuit.

Note: As I was taking the hill up out of Carson I was being followed by a fullsized pickup that belonged to one of the guys in the shop. He was trying to catch my little Amigo pushing 38.5" tires up the hill and he couldn't catch me. Hmm, maybe a motor swap might be a little further down the road.

Realsquash 05-05-2002, 11:00 PM Great work-what did you end up doing for a cage? I can't quite tell if you did an internal one or not at all??
From the sounds of the exhaust you are missing a few cylinders! :D :D

Flatbed 05-06-2002, 06:04 AM Sweet looking rig man, nice build-up. :D
redruM 05-06-2002, 06:06 AM one thing someone brought up about my buildup that i hadnt thought of.....
capacity of the master cylinder... (my Ford front D60 has Dual piston calipers and the D61 rear i am leaving Drums)
i was told that the TJ mastercylinder will not pump enough fluid to make the brakes work corectly.... Have you addressed this ?
Belly Dragger 05-06-2002, 06:37 AM Originally posted by redruM
Have you addressed this ? Yes, thanks I forgot all about it. Shaffer found two possible masters that fit the Isuzu booster. One from a big Chevy, dual outs and big bore, unfortunatley the coil mounts prevented us from using this master. We eneded up with a master of unknown origin, well at least Mike isn't telling me what it is, that has single out and 1-1/8" bore with a long stroke. There was some serious machining done to make it work including a custom slide over piston adaptor. We also ended up with a 2 pound residual on the rear disc's.
Realsquash 05-06-2002, 07:43 AM I don't suppose you know the sprung weight front and rear?
