x2 on gotpropane.com. Cary will spend as much time with you as needed to help you understand his system and determine your needs. He sells only new stuff and his kits are very complete and easy to install. Your oil will stay clean forever as will you plugs. Your engine will likely run better than it did before due to the propane being equal to 110 octane. Only downside is having to get the tank filled. Can be a hassle in rural areas.

Is switching to propane better on money? Do you get as much miles per gallon with propane as with gasoline?

Propane is sold by the lb. so how can I compare to the guys running liquid gold? I can run alot of trails in about a day and a half with one forklift bottle on a mild built 302. Down side? there are none if you buy and have on hand several forklift tanks. There is no wiring on my setup as I run a vacume shut off unlike got propanes systems I think he has his on electric solenoid type valves. Don't get me wrong there is no issues w/ either setup just a personal preference. On my last run I saw several guys running fuel injection that had ground issues or just electrical issue in general, one of the guys in my group had this issue. Granted he is a top electrician in a miny steel mill so he is talented in those regards, but who wants to trace wiring on the trail? He also has issues w/ his fuel cell and is building a new one at this time. You can literally run a propane engine upside down if you could keep oil in the motor. The only issue I had with my propane was not getting the forklift valve tight enough once, I ran thru my tank in about half a day. Here again not an issue I had 4 full tanks prior to the start of the trip. Hope this gives you some insight.

That helped alot. My trail rig is going to be a driven vehicle, not as a daily drivre, but I will be driving it to the trails so severl forklift bottles would be good? I will probubly convert over to propane after awile, but that mostly depends on if i get a carberated or EFI old toyota. If i get a EFI engine then i really wont need a propane, but if i go carb then i will. So we will have to see. Thanks

If your running a TOY alot of forklifts came w/ a toyota motor 22re (something like that anyhow I believe) that already had propane on it. I have seen those sell on e-bay before. The other thing I thought about doing and you may want to if it works out is.... I have a 1000 gal/lb (whatever house tank) for heating my house I have contemplated filling it off of that for my spare bottles as I get a really good rate on my house fill. Thanks Shawn

Just a word, the forklift kits use equipment half the size as we do. They rev out at around 3500 rpm's. There is a huge difference between industrial and automotive conversions. I've had several customers that have bought that kit only to re-sell it and buy ours.
A BIG thanks to those that already run our kits!!:usa:

wow you guys rock.. I will be intouch with you gotpropane, Ive made my mind up and that is the road im going to take, I have to drop my gass tank anyway because of longer wheelbase and the rear diff i hammering my skid so that makes it easier to....
Now when i go propane will it affect my valves on my chev, ive heard somthing about a special cam for propane engines with a quicker overlap dual pattern cam because my cam has a very wide separation and alot of lope .... just curious on this ...thanks Sean
