: Why not?

Why doesn't Bobby Long make super birfs for sammy's?

I think that if super birfs and alloy shafts were available for the sammy then we could run up to 35's on our sammy axles.:smokin: I think that would be pretty cool. A lot of times I really wish there were more upgrades for the sammy axles. Look what Bobby has done for the toyota crowd. If it weren't for him all the yota guys would have to upgrade to d60's instead of being able to keep it asian. Not to mention those toyota straight axles are gettin' harder to find every day. I really wouldn't mind being able to have a use for the 3 sets of sammy axles I have. Just a thought. Maybe this has been covered before. I don't know.

WOW! If they only would have made them 3-years ago I wouldn't have changed my front end to a 44. Even though Trail Tough's axles didn't let me down in HTTC 2003 I still broke the outer bearing shells (only on turning) which was the financial factor in the swapout.

Cromo & Cryro'd inner/outer axles (http://www.roadlessgear.com/html/newfields/index.html)<--- Good shit right there, very good

Yep, thats it. The newfields are what I was lookin' for. I had heard of them before but never looked into 'em. I just assumed they were just heat treated, but now I see they are the real deal. Like Crab Bait said, if they had been around before I did my 'yota conversion I woulda kept my zook axles. Looks like a good idea for my next one though. I don't plan on going very big so newfields would be perfect. Thanks, I think maybe I'll save up for a set for my stock sammy. Thanks.

I run newfeilds on 33's and love them, but do break them. The birf itself I will never break, but the inner shafts are another matter. Roadless Gear states the inner shafts are 4340 chromoly and are heat and chryo treated, along with magnafluxing to boot.
On another BB forum they state that Trail Tough is making 300m inner shafts for these newfeilds. Can some one explain to me the difference between the two metals (4340 chromoly) and 400m? And lastly why doesn't Bobby Long sell stuff like this to the sammy market? Must be a Toyota or Jeep thing I can not get.:flipoff2:

i killed more ring and pinion sets than axles so the toy swap was the way to go for me i think super axles for a suzuki diff is just throwing good moony after bad

What axle ratio and tire size were you running?
