What are you using for exhaust on a 401 in a yj? Installed my advanced adapter mounts, have a set of cj headers but they interfere with the mounts.
Just looking for someone who has found something that works well with this application. I guess the other option is cut out a couple of tubes and rebuild the headers.

thanks in advance

I'll throw in a vote for edelbrocks amc headers they are top notch and I would be very surprised if they interfered with anything on a YJ.

I bit on the spendy side but well worth it in my opinion.

I went through this exact dilemma about a month ago. I tried a header for a Grand Wagoneer, would not work, hit my hydraulic slave cylinder, tried CJ headers, hit the motor mounts, tried FSJ headers, hit the frame. I just gave up and used cast Iron manifolds from a 71 AMX. If your not using a hydraulic clutch the Wagoneer headers might work. Also Doug Thorley makes some really nice headers for a Wagoneer that might work. Let me know what you end up doing.

i am running waggoneer headers in mine.. but i do not have a hydraulic cluctch or those engine mounts... i am sure you can get a manifold in there and if so then those edelbrock headers will work.. my friend has them on his waggy.. they are very nice..

Another question, you gona run on pump gas or going propane? I know gas up there aint cheep and a 401 sure does drink!!!
