I posted here because i feel like an idiot now that i tried to use my brain at work.

My brain started hurting because i read the thread about looking for the pn#'s for the parts for the sag pump. Then i started reading the link http://jeffd.50megs.com/Pump_valve_mod_page.htm

It states that Removing the washers from the flow valve increases the maximum pressure the pump produces, and is needed when turning the steering wheel rapidly left and right. The fitting also produces slightly more flow than stock, which also helps the pump 'keep up' with the demands from the box.

I can't seem to find the link for the other site, but it had stated to use machine washers #6 iirc on the small plunger/valve, for lack of a better term, and then slide the little spring back on, put valve all back together.

Soooooo the first sites way is allowing teh valve to move further? And my way (since i can't find the link to the site) is keeping the valve from moving? But that comparo doesn't work out right.

either way to me i would think both mods are doing the same thing but accomplishing them different ways. Either way i feel like an idiot, which i am sure you guys will reassure me of. :D

i've seen that one....but the one i was referring too had very little directions, i think it was a bronco related one plus it only changed that little spring by adding washers. It didn't stretch the spring or have that other shim.

Thats why i was trying to figure out if its accomplishing the same thing
