How can I go about making a 700R4 (from a 88 chevy 2wd pickup) not need a TCU. Manual valve body? Anything else?

I don't know about a conversion, but I got one that I believe was from a '87 2wd S-15 that was not computer controlled. I would contact a tranny shop. A knowledgeable builder should be able to tell you right away if it's possible.
