Who is using what tool, how do you like it? What should I expect to pay for it? I am going to purchase a pinion depth setting tool that will be used on dana axles and gm corporate. Any suggestions on a good one or warnings on something to avoid would be appreciated. I have seen a universal tool mfg by pms in the car mags for around $200. Is this any good? I would rather pay a few extra bucks now to avoid hassles later in the garage.

thanks
Tony

I used a parrallel to span the bearing cap surfaces then measured from tehre down to the pinion wioth a vernier caliper.

I wasnt able to find long enough parralells to I had to machine some, BTW.

I have the PM? tool I believe. It comes in a nice plastic case with all the tools packed in foam. Nice red anodizing and insturctions and was worked for me so far!
