I HV A 1970 FJ40 WITH STOCK WARN HUBS, when testing them last night i found out that the right hub turns normally from free to lock (and back). h/ever the left hub only turns the 'long way around' from free to lock (and back). any ideas ???
I think Warn hubs are supposed to go from FREE to LOCK in 7/8ths of a turn. If your hub is going from F-L in 1/8th of a turn, you have a problem.

the arrows point the 1/8th way. not the 7/8th way.

Is there a problem? Do they engage and disengage or not? If they work fine, then leave them be.

BINGO!! My do something very simlar. But the engage and disengage just fine so I don't worry about it. I do carry 2 spares with me along with birfields but that's just a precaution. Been running them coming on 3 years like that. :D
