I went out on Sunday w/Homegrowntoy, aka James, and a friend of his to check out how well those 37" MTR's work in Oregon slime. It rained pretty hard Sat. night so was pretty gooy, even snowed a little on us while we were up there. I rode w/James as I was waiting for my HP44 to get finished. His buddy had 33" Boggers, I run 35" inch Bogs. All I can say is hmmm....how do those MTR's work so well? They don't look like they would but believe me they do. We crawled on some pretty slimey rocks, we didn't get everywhere, but I'm not sure many would have.
I'm completely impressed and am seriously sconsidering a set soon.

In a 'v'. He didn't slide in, he drove in to check the flex, drove right back out.

I have been very impressed with mtrs. I first bought 35s they worked much better than the 35in. tsls I had before. Now that I have the 37s those extra couple inches made the difference. The only tire better for the my truck in the north west would be a set of 37-13 or 38-11 boggers, but since mine is still a daily driver the mtrs will do for now.

BTW - When James dropped me off at my truck I grabbed what I thought was my lunch sack out of the back. I got home and my wife asked why I didn't eat my sandwichs. I said I did, so she showed me one that was in the bag. Oooops, I had grabbed James' lunch bag. Only bummer was I left my wallet in mine. Anout 10 mins later he called ( wondering where his lunch was ) and said he was about 15 miles down the road w/my wallet. That was way cool since it was 35+ miles out of his way.

Thanks a lot James, I owe ya'.

Did you pick- up your hp44 today from leonard. What are your going to do about your drag link?

Yeah, I got it last night. It's SWEET!!

Can't wait to get it in. I'm gonna measure it up and L said he'd get me a drag link made up. I also finally got some bump stops.

I have to go to my nephews tonight and start pulling apart his hydro-locked 22re. Hopefully I'll be able to work on the front end Wed. night.

Gonna get the M/C res. today, check on the banjo/flare nuts, get some brake pads and whatever else I can think of. One of my rear axle bearings is pretty much toast so when I go pick up my rear 3rd L will change it for me.

Doesn't look like I have any tire $$'s right now so I'll have to keep beatin' up my boggers.

don't wait to long to order the drag link it can take a couple of days. If it cuts down on the waiting time I can pick it up from R&P since I am on that part of town. I'm prtty sure that were leonard gets them from. thats were I got mine.

hmm mtrs sound like the way to go. my truck is a DD, and i was wondering about MTR's. i had a guy tell me he was going on 50K and he still had some tread left. also i have heard very good things about their wear.

my truck is a DD with a detroit in the rear, and I still got 25k and still had about half tread when I got my 37s.

And those bald bastards still went nearly everywhere.

going from 35s to 37s made a big difference in how my truck performs. the most importantly why the taller tire is working better is because I have a 64in wide axle now, so I needed a little more axle clearance.

i'm glad they work because i picked mine up from the dealer yesterday, now i'm just waiting for my new axle. And as for the sidewall, it is plenty thick and is 3 ply, my TSL radial was only 2 and i never split one.
