Some weekend poser pics.. got sun burned on Saturday, then went n' got buried in the snow on Sunday. What fun! :D

Tigger on the ramp - I think it came in around 800, pretty respectable (what I scored with just the 4" Skyjackers and 33s before).. but no one wrote it down for sure. D'oh.

Rocker needs trimmed some - http://www.m4x4a.org/ImageGallery/album35/DCP_0041.thumb.jpg

Though there isn't much I can do about the top - I'm not ready to tear the fenders back off and cut some more out just yet. Maybe body mounts, some bushings, and a 1" body lift would be a better idea..

We put Michelle's "Oscar" up, too..

Bone stock.. on 31x10.50s.. got a 515.

No one was surprised my racer did well..

Only 817.. but that was first place (might've been close with Tigger, but I can't remember the number)

I had to put the passenger side up.. with the driver's on the ramp, the draglink was nicely U-ed over both springs..

The big surprise was my Travelall.. stock, with new spring bushings, NAPA shocks that limit droop, and 33s..

I think Slip has the right idea.

The attachments are of body tub #3 being retired and tub #4 being installed in Sept. '01. You can see how I "bobbed" the back end for a better departure angle. All the sheetmetal was bolt-on to an internal cage which bolted to the floor and frame.

That's what I was thinking! Looks like he bolted the axles directly to the frame.

that guy in the red scout had enough flex to win the rockcrawling competition in gardendale,al at the superlift4xadventure...he was the only one to finish the comp in the time give (8 mins), its a built scout. Oh and its a 4in lift springs on top of the axles w/ wagoner machine axles

GOT LOCKERS?

Flex is overrated anyhow.. it takes a real man to drive a no-flex rig on the trail and run circles around the cantilevered drop-arm, revolver, swivel-shock mount equipped mall posers..

Hooper has the swivel-shock mounts. :D

I'm making fun of everyone that thinks you have to have 1000+ RTI (on a 30deg ramp, of course), buggy springs with revolvers, an Atlas II, Boggers, and of course a rock-ram to turn the thing just to go fourwheeling.

Cow caca.

Every once in a while I get bored and decide to take my stock, open diff'd Travelall on a trail ride just to keep it interesting.. and to piss off the mall-cruisers someone finally goaded into going fourwheeling with their awesome 4x4... as I drive circles around them and yank 'em out of the ditch in my open diff highway rig.

Y'know, the guys with more $$$ tied up in ONE RIM than I spent to buy the whole Travelall. :D

It's called four-wheeling.. not "how to wear out the mag stripe on your VISA to look cool" :flipoff2:

Thank you. I'm glad too. They don't like us CA folk up that way much. That CA license plate was like a big bulls eye!

tsm1mt....that is what i was hinting at.....all he had was a soa w/4 in leafs, nothing special and he won the frikken competition w/ rigs that had all that articulation suspension....he's a crazy driver also...like you said it takes a man to drive a no flex machine....i think he was in 2nd gear the whole way through the competition....they sprayed water all over the rocks....couldn't hold the lines...so he mashed the gas, he will be in one of the magazines in a couple of months about the comp.

My racer ( the flat-black "thing") has done 40" of tire-pick before.

My RTI changes every time I ramp it, depending on who is sitting in it, which tires I'm running, and how much gas is in the tank!

It's too light to flex well. If I were rock-crawling I'd want it sprung a little lighter than it is with the stock springs SOA right now.. but I don't crawl it.. I FLY IT.. and I like the way it lands (usually).

Rig had it's best score right after I put it together - 950@25-deg, or about 40" of tire-pick. I had a passenger with me and managed that score. We got out, and the tire came off the ground a few inches. It needed ~400lbs of weight to keep it down. :D

Heck, I think those fancy Bilstiens hurt my score.. those gas-charged fawkers were a b*tch to install, too.. kept wanting to hit the floor and lift the rig.. :flipoff2:
