: opinions on flexible exhaust tubing

thinking of getting a 5 foot roll for teh 3 bends my exhaust needs on the passenger side and i can do the whoel thing myself then, jiMMy

id imagine a shop would charge youa bout the same as a roll of that stuff including shipping....everything ive heard and read about that stuff says its easily bent :flipoff2:

You'd be better off, getting some tubing and bending it yourself with a torch

Just trailer to the shop and get it done.

It sucks... It will rust out at every bend and clamp that you use.

Just do what I did. Get a few of these:

Every time I have ever gotten a custom exhaust system I have cringed at the workmanship, fit, routing, and bizzare use of hangers I see.
I am strongly considering using that flex pipe for some tight compound angle bends with my new engine. If it is 304 stainless how is it going to rust through?

are you a 15 y/o on a budget? if yes go for it if you are older spend the same money at a good muff shop. err i mean exhaust shop.:grinpimp:

Most of my exhaust is 2.5" custom bent stainless.
I have about 1.5 ' of flex tubing.
But, this is the stuff from a big truck supply store at approx. 93 cents an INCH. This is good stuff. Bent is cheaper (less expensive) but i had a wierd bend.
