Okay...Just about done linking the rear...What do you guy's think of the bridge over the axle? Should I gusset the mounting tab's? All of it is 1/4" and all 9/16th hardware...3/4 x 3/4 heims at the frame...Upper links are 1.5" x .25...So is the bridge...Currie JJ's.

Should I do a rib brace off the diff to the bridge?

Thanks guy's...

I would. I wouldn't quite trust that bridge yet, but you are on your way.

Congrats dude. It is coming together nicely. I think it should really kick butt when it is done.

Your axle hoop is made from some pretty thick tubing, I think it will be fine. A few gussets would make yourself feel better about it though;) That looks like a really narrow frame.....not very much triangulation from your upper arms. Is that gonna be enough to control the side to side movement? Looks good, what are you planning on for springs?Later:rasta:

If the bridge is attached to your Rock Ring (diff cover ring) which it looks like it is, then I think you're gonna be fine. Otherwise I would add some gussets.

Lookin good, but are your two top links at enough of an angle to control all side loads? They look rather parallel.

I'd run larger hiems joints I broke a few of the 3/4" hiems and it wasn't a fun fix on the trail. Looks good though:beer:

I would brace it better at the punkin and gussett the bridge...by the way what are the orange or red wheels that you have in the first pic, is in 16 or 16.5....

Allthough his uppers arent triangulated much, his lowers are triangulated alson so he should be fine. Looks good

Thanks for the comments guy's! I think I'll run a 3/8's plate gusset from the pumpkin' to the center of the bridge...It will help me sleep at night DesertCJ! I?ll weld it to the bridge right between the two JJ's...

Twistedmetal/others...I'm a bit worried about the triangulation as well...The upper links are 36" long from eyelet to eyelet...They have a 13" spread between centerline to centerline....And the axle with the wheels and tires is (need to re-measure) is approx. 85"...So (if my bud Sam is correct) if the poly bush could compress by 1/4inch the axle should move sideways by 1.5inches (which is a lot maybe???) in a full lateral bind.

If the poly compresses by 1/8inch the axle moves sideways by 3/4 inch which is not worth worrying about for this rig.

The other option I could do is plunk down some more $ towards Currie and pick up a couple more JJ's...There would be almost zero flex in the JJ's and could/would eliminate most of the lateral movement....However I would be placing a bunch more shock load bending moment on the 9/16'ths bolts at the JJ's...Hmmmmm.

DesertCJ...I'm running (will be running) 2.5" x 14 Kings front and rear.

Coyote...Those are my old trashed 15 x 10's...They are there to hold the plastic cover over the new TSL's so I don't bake them with UV before I even have them on the trail. Currently the TSL's are on the 60 to check for clearance and all that yada yada...

Thanks again guy's...

Looks good. One thing I would do is make your lower link frame mounts double shear instead of single shear. There will be a lot of force on those links and mounts.
