I feel sorry for you pal.
Here's the skinny: I got one from Auto Zone in Hollister for $229 plus tax etc. This was the cheapest I could find this box for my truck after calling over 20 places in San Jose. If you can avoid this box do, but if you've got a 77-79 F150, this is your only option unless you redo your whole steering. The 2wd and 250-350 ones won't work, but the bronco one from 78-79 should.

At the junkyard they are only about 35 bucks. But how many of these trucks do you find not fully raped in the yard?? Not many, was my experience at least. I broke my sector shaft in Hollister Hills SVRA and had to get the new box. It's expensive, the setup w/ the sector shaft is weak, and after 230 dollars,my truck steered the same as with the original box.

Not to pee on your parade, but this was just my experience. Most full service wrecking yards can get them, but they are as expensive if not more than a reman. from Auto zone.

Good luck. Try to avoid this box if possible. I had no option but the stock replacement.

I had to buy one because mine was cracked. $350 from the only place that had it in stock.

Went to pick-n-pull sunday and found a complete virgin of a F-150.

Well it was raped when I was done :)

If your looking for a used box, go often and hope you get to it before some one else does!
