What transmission does the '75 F250 have in it? Are you sure it isn't a 360 in there now, not that it matters. If you have a Manual tranny, you will need to get a T-18/NP435 Bellhousing for a 460. If it has an auto, you have some work ahead of you. You will need to find a 2wd C6, then attach the t-case shift levers to it (if possible), mate it up to the intermediate shaft to the t-case, etc. Motor mounts/headers/manifolds will all be tough as well. I believe L&L makes a kit that makes installin a 460 easier than trrying to find all the stuff in the boneyars, but its spendy.

Hope this helps ya a little bit.

Yes you will be able to put that motor and tranny in it. You may have to modify the shaft between tranny and transfer case.(lengthen or shorten)

If those 2wd mounts look like the ones in L&L's kit you should be okay

I think its the E-series oil pan and manifolds that work in that frame. Not 100% sure.

72 Ford trucks didn't come with the 460. Reverify that you have a 460.
They came with straight 6s, 302, 360 and 390.

Yea, & nobody is smart enough to have possibly swaped one in, :flipoff2:

After verifying you do have a 460, the swap is easy,

For motor mounts get the 2 bolt 390 mounts from napa, the mounting holes & the stud that go in the frame perches are in line, you'll have to elongate the mounting holes in the mount a little, then bolt them to the block crooked, (I know this sounds a little jerry rigged) but the napa motor mount are $25.00 & the L&L moutns are $69.00 & I've had better luck with the 390 mounts,

If you are comfortable with disassembly & reassembly of the tranny you can swap tail shafts & tail shaft housings & not alter your mid. d-shaft,

I'm not sure but I think with the older 3/4 tons (high boys) you can run the front sump pan & it will clear everything,

(edit) If you need a set of headers I have a set of L&L fenderwells that will fit that combo (shameless plug I know)

yes they are worth the money if you find a nice set used. They are pretty heavy, about 75# for the pair, VS. a cheap hooker comin in at half the weight.

Where is shit springs anyways??

For a mild build, up to around 550 hp they are a very good header, I have heard stories of poor quality, but I have two sets & seen several others, all that I have seen have been very good quality,

plus with the fenderwell exit it is easy to run the exhaust & it keeps the heat away from the oil pan, tranny, & t-case,
