I have a '87 crew cab dually that has a 521 stroker w/aluminum heads, custom cut hyd.roller cam, 10:1 custom pistons, scat crank. I broke a oil cooler line and lost oil pressure. I shut it down fast but now it has a very slight rod knock. My wife says the truck has to go so i want to part it out to try and recoup some of my money. Do I take it to the engine shop and get it fixed or sell it as is. It also has a c6 with built converter and gear venders overdrive. The motor puts out 500hp and 620 ftlbs TQ @3200rpm. Also have the complete propane system for it. It would be great for a full size bronco. Any thoughts?

Its my fault. I promised that I would get rid of it when i bought a new diesel. Fixing it and keeping it are not a option. Its fix and sell or just sell. No I won't part out the motor. All or none. The price will be higher if I fix it. Besides I need the money for another project!

I told my SO when I got another truck my old one was gone... I think she forgot.:flipoff2:

Derpends, if you can get more out of it then you will put inot it to fix it, then do so if not sell as is.
