Got the opportunity to go down to Baja with BFG this past week, and what a blast. Baja is simply awesome. Now I understand the allure to desert racing.
I've never worked with a better group of individuals, anywhere, period. BFG runs a top notch support system, which is without equal.
On to the pics.

We stopped in Ensenada long enough to get our paperwork, and then on to the pit.

I think the pit dumped about 2,300 gallons of gas that day.

Mike rolled into the pit and I asked if he needed anything other than fuel. He said he needed the fuel lines blown out with air, so they put in 20 gallons of fuel and we moved him forward to mechanical.
John Hall and other chase support took care of the fuel line situation.
After they had him on his way I grabbed the other 10 gallons of fuel in a dump can that Mike didn't need and we put it in the chase vehicles.

Once everyone was through, we took down everything and loaded up. Got to the hotel close to 3:00 am, and crashed.
The next day we had breakfast, met up with pit 2 and crossed back into the US.

That's all I've got.
If you get a chance to go to the 1000, go! You can't know how cool it is until you're there experiencing it.

That's awesome! Sounds like a lot of fun, even though you were working your ass off. :D
Is there any chance that you got any pics of any of the Class 3 guys?
Teams 301, 302 or 349?

No pics of the class 3 guys. I remember fueling Raffo, the Bronco (Moss?), and am not sure about another.

If that was a big black Western Star, I was the one who spec'd that out new. The guy flew to KS from CA and picked it up. I haven't seen it since it left. Awesome truck. Loaded to the gills with options. Check it out if you get a chance.
Nice pics also.

I think that was it. I did check it out. The trailer they had was crazy, Plasma TV's, bar, etc. etc, Basically a big party wagon. :smokin:

Nope, sorry, that's the only one I've got. I think we had 3 vehicles pit at the same time and I only took that one after the team I was on was finished filling the vehicle in the nearest lane.

The other Class 3 would have been 302 ..Team Endeavor, Scott Barnes... a white EB with a Lone Star Flag
We pitted him just down the road from you guys but he stopped for a fuel dump first...just after dark, maybe 7:00ish
Due to poor radio communications, we spent the next few hours looking for our other EB 349 who was out of the race near Valle de Trinidad...We thought he was MIA somewhere on the Goat Trail, but he got off the course and couldn't get a hold of us.
The staff at the BFG pit was great...the woman at the check in table was very understanding when we asked her to check and double check that they had not come through...then Laird (?) checked BFG relay for info for us several times...pass along a big thanks for us!
The importance of good communications in Baja cannot be emphasized enough!
