Is the much difference in strength in the two? Any other reason to avoid a d24?

Strength is about the same. Lo case in the 24 is a tad but higher than the 205. 24 parts are harder to get.

Thanks for the input. I tought they were about equal. I may have to use it temp.

The dana 24 is a tad noiser due to the cut of the gears but strength-wise its on par with the np205.

I wouldn't change one out just because it's a dana. I've broken everything on either side of the dana 24 and never heard as much as a whimper from the case itself.. I'd run it til it puked then swap in a 205... $0.02

Thanks guys for your input. It was only going to be temp until i can finish piecing together a doubler set up. I don't think the noise will bother me any, not over the powersroke and 5" stacks:smokin:
