I found a 5.0L in Pull and Save that has definitely been transplanted, it's in a Maverick, I'm wondering how to identify if it came from a mustang, or something else. I know the plenum intake is on the driver side, but these can be flopped. Is there a certain code located on the block that I can attempt to identify, and where would it be located? Thanks

if it is a HO it came from a mustang or an explorer, otherwise it came from a t-bird, wagon, or other car
Since it is not stock it is hard to tell but only the HO ones come with factory "headers" - not cast

Is it mass air speed density? Mass air is preferred, look for the meter - that is an 88+ california or 89+ anywhere else motor
The non HO has a smaller meter, cast manifolds and not sure what all else
