I have a decsent sound system in my jeep but looking to see if anyone can figure a way to put a 10" & box under the rear seat? Has anyone ever used them 8"PODS to fit around the rear roll cage? I have Polk in the front and the soundbars with 600 watts pushing and 250 watts pushing the sub right now. I would like to have my room back what little it was. Just wandering if anyone knew of a way to do that.

you have to be joking.....this is a tech forum about offroading.

if you want subs go get a little rice burner with a fart muffler, they just dont belong in jeeps. another thing, you might want to delete this thread to save your dignity or what you have left of it.

just because some of you fawkers dont like tunes in your rig doesnt mean you need to be asshats to someone who does. quit being a bunch of mindless cattle, and think for yourselves. do what you want with your rig. these ppl didnt buy it you did.

i dig the boat speakers, ive seen them on another rig somewhere before.

You can physically fit a 10 underneath the rear seat but you may run into other problems.

To get the most performance out of a sub, you need to build the box to the sub; ie ported vs. sealed (bandpass is definitiely out of the question), and the proper interior volume. You may not have enough room to build a large enough box to get the best performance.

My suggestion would be to get two high quality 8inch subs designed for small sealed boxes, and build boxes that will fit on the rear fender wells. Be sure to build them the proper volume, use MDF (medium density fiberboard, 1/2" to 3/4") and seal the crap out of them.

good luck

Hey you bunch of CRAB HEADS. Just maybe some of you hard core GURUU's "lostcj7" need to stay in the hard core part. Read under my SIG. I have a descent rig to go off roading with. Its a hobby I DO NOT pour my lifes savings into it. This is a hobby some people do with their families. There is nothing wrong with hearing some tunes while you do so. Besides this isn't a buggy. It is my everyday rider along with being an weekend toy. So therefore, stay in the hard core part if you don't want to be nice in the "Newbie" section. And I use that term loosely.
I do appreciate the help though from everyone else. I think I'll just stay like it is for now. I have it all made up with quick connects.
Right now when I go offroading I just pull the box out and put all my spare parts for the trails in there.
Jethrodeg, that's a different way of hanging some bass......

I wheel pretty hard, and would love some Sub options for my Jeep. I have killer stereo's in the boat and truck and not in the Jeep, kinda kills me sometimes when I want the punch.

To each his own.
I have two marine speakers that slide around in the back. Surprisingly enough, I drove around all last summer with the top off and no one stole them. Anything more is for the birds; it's a damn jeep. Plus, nobody wants to hear your b-boppin when you have your top off but yourself.

I made an armrest console that fits a 10" kicker comp sub, down firing and the armrest is fiberglass so it is water resistant. Works great and is very space effecient.

Stop bitching, you know everything you say has the opportunity to be flamed, so dont be a flamer and go through it. Your rig doesnt impress too many people here, but (if you did the work yourself) it's decent. Pretty big lift for 32sI'd throw 35s on it and get some nice contour lines in it.

Anyway, Point being: you can't say Subs are for the avid offroader, but a mall crawler add on that you can take off the road, anytime you mention it, it'll get flamed, suck it up and stop biatching

I do have plans for the 35's. I'm just waiting for the 32's to wear down. Yes I did a lot of it but I did have help with other parts. Everyone starts somewhere. Wheeling is deffinately the fun thing to go and do. My jeep was a toy until I sold my truck. I have a lot of plans on building it up. Just have to do one thing at a time.
