My OE setup is toasted :nuke: , any of you have a new cool setup you wanna show off? If there is one of the many old setups that you have tried and tested and still like it post that too.

Should I mount them off the chassis? I think that would be a PITA to get configured where it doesn't interfer with my links or gas tank.

Should I build a crossmember for them? If so do I need to worry about rigidity/chassis flex? This is the way I am thinking but I am fearful of making the crossmember too rigid are wind up ripping it loose.

The shocks are RS5112s and the TJ has 4.25" of lift and a hockey puck BL. I am planning an axle swap in the up coming months with some extra lift so I really don't want to buy anything for my current setup.

I used some left over shock mounts that I cut from an old Cherokee rear axle... Just cut out enough of the cross member so that the top side of the shock can pass by it and weld the new shock mount to the frame... Of course, you won't be able to remove your body lift unless you rework the shock mounts... Got mine a little more than an inch above the frame...

I had to go back later and weld in some angle iron supports to add some rigidity to the cross member (as seen above). It flexed when I came down hard on the gas tank and the body mounts left dents in my floorboard...
